Table tennis is played using only a tennis table, a ping-pong ball, and paddles. When you have all 4 of these equipments, then you and your competitor are all set to play. It’s that simple. But, of course, there are certain standards that have been devised to administer the equipments used in Olympic level matches and this include balls, rackets/paddles, and tennis tables.

The Ping Pong Table

The officially accepted size for the table tennis playing surface is 9 feet long and five feet wide and should be around 30 inches off the ground. These tables are usually made out of either Masonite or some kind of manufactured wood and usually painted with low-friction coating. The tennis table’s surface color is usually neutral like blue or green which makes the balls easier to see during play.

Like most table games, the table is divided into halves. However, the table tennis surface is divided into four sections with the table being bisected lengthwise and widthwise. Across the center of the table is the net which should be six inches tall and tense like the net you’d find on an actual tennis court. The white lines around the perimeter of the table help players know where to serve and when the ball is out of bounds. In many ways, the ping pong table surface closely resembles that of a standard tennis court.

The Table Tennis Balls

Of course, you need more than just a table. You also need the ping-pong balls, which are made of celluloid material. Each ball must be 40mm in diameter and must weigh 2.7 grams. Obviously, they aren’t very large. These balls are usually painted yellow or white to make them more visible.

Ping Pong Rackets

Table tennis rackets go by several different names so a racket, a bat, a blade, or a paddle all means the same thing. The term “Racket” however, is the official term used by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Rackets are made of laminated wood. More expensive rackets include other elements made from high-tech elements such as fiberglass and titanium.

You can find a wide range of rubber sheets that are placed on the ping pong rackets to affect your overall performance during a game. Each sheet can make changes, such as causing the ball not to spin during a hit or which can even increase the ball’s spin rate. These sheets are a good choice for serious players but you don’t need them to enjoy a few casual rounds of table tennis at home or with your friends.

Now that you know some fundamental information about the equipment used in table tennis, it won’t be confusing and tasking on your part when it is time to choose an equipment to use for a match or even a competition. If you are still unsure of what to get, you can always go ahead and ask for feedback from professional table tennis players.

One important factor to consider as you’re putting the finishing touches on your draft list, is how well the players performed down the stretch last season. Consider two guys who finished last season with 48 points: Lee Stempniak stormed the castle down the stretch, racking up 14 goals in his last 19 games. Meanwhile, David Backes limped across the plate with just 10 points in his final 17 contests. While it’s not a full-proof indicator of things to come, it’s certainly a pattern worth considering. For this post, I’ll ignore the obvious players who were strong from start to finish and focus on those who really turned it on in the last quarter, from the Olympic break on. If that momentum carries into 2010-11, these guys could be on the way up in terms of fantasy value.

Offense:

* Derek Roy(BUF) – Roy flew under the radar in 2009-10, finishing under 70 points for the season; however, he was one of the hottest players post-Olympics. He recorded 10 goals and 16 assists in his final 22 games for the Sabres.
* Jason Spezza(OTT) – Spezza was criticized by many for a slow start, but few noticed his late season surge. He ripped off 24 points in his final 19 games, including 8 goals.
* Henrik Zetterberg(DET) – While it was a down year overall again for Hank, he wrapped up the final quarter above a point per game average (22 points in 20 games).
* Daniel Alfredsson(OTT) – Like Spezza, Alfie came on strong for the Senators in the stretch run. He finished with 22 points in the final quarter, though most of those were assists.
* Peter Mueller(COL) – Mueller came alive after arriving in Colorado at the deadline. He arrived with 17 points in 54 games with Phoenix, then transformed with 9 goals and 11 assists in 15 games with the Avalanche.
* Lee Stempniak(PHO) – Stempniak went on an inexplicable tear after arriving in Phoenix late last year. He was scoring at a goal a game pace for several weeks.
* Teemu Selanne(ANA) – Despite missing considerable time earlier in the year, Selanne showed how young he is, scoring 9 goals and adding 10 assists in his final 17 games to salvage a decent season.
* David Krejci(BOS) – Hard to believe Krejci finished the season with just 52 points, considering he piled up nearly half of those in the stretch run. 21 points in 22 games was a good end to a bad season.
* John Tavares(NYI) – Crazy up and down season for the high-profile rookie ended on the good side. He wrapped up his final 20 games with 20 points. Should be a sign of what’s to come for his sophomore season.

A few other guys that wrapped up the final quarter around a point-per-game pace, after starting much slower: Ryan Kesler, Eric Staal, Chris Stewart, Alex Steen, Chad LaRose, Wojtek Wolski, Kristian Huselius.

Defense:

* Tom Gilbert(EDM) – Who? That’s right. Tom Gilbert. Finished the season with just 31 points. 20 of those came in the final quarter. At that pace for an entire season, he would have challenged the likes of Mike Green. Not going to happen, but it’s nice to dream if you’re an Oilers fan.
* Bryan McCabe(FLA) – McCabe was average in the first 3/4 of the season, but erupted when the games stopped counting for Florida. He closed out 2010 with 17 points in his final 21 contests.
* Erik Karlsson(OTT) – Here is a name to note for your draft list. It took him awhile to stick with the big club, but this rookie finished the season with an impressive 14 points in 19 games for the Sens.
* Carlo Colaiacovo(STL) – 32 points in 67 don’t really catch your eye. 14 points over his last 19 might get your attention.
* Dennis Wideman(FLA) – Fantasy owners who drafted him based on his 2008-09 season won’t forgive him for last year, but he offered some redemption, registering 11 points in his last 22 games.
* Paul Martin(PIT) – He missed most of the season, but still came up with 9 points in 13 games at the end.
* Jamie McBain(CAR) – The rookie didn’t play until the stretch drive, but open eyes with 10 points in those 14 games.

A few other guys who turned up the pace down the stretch: Alex Edler, Andy Greene, Alex Goligoski, Ian White, Brent Burns.

Goalies:

* Jimmy Howard(DET) – Don’t forget about the tear this guy went on last spring. He couldn’t lose. He piled up 15 wins after the Olympic break to top the NHL in that span.
* Pekka Rinne(NAS) – Rinne inserted himself into trophy consideration with his late season heroics. He won 12 games (4 by shutout) in his final 18.
* Jose Theodore(WAS) – Still looking for a job for the fall of 2010, but that doesn’t take away from his fabulous run in the spring of 2010. 10 wins in his last 12 starts.
* Antti Niemi(SJ) – Neimi didn’t really claim the number 1 job in Chicago until late last season, when he garnered 3 shutouts after the break (not to mention those 16 post-season wins).
* Jaroslav Halak(STL) – Fans took notice when he put Slovakia on his back, then did the same for the Canadiens both leading up to and throughout the playoffs. He won 9 of his last 15 regular season games, including 2 shutouts.
* Jonas Gustavsson(TOR) – While it wasn’t enough to earn him the starting job going into 2010-11, it’s worth noting that Gustavsson won 7 of 10 games down the stretch.
* Cam Ward(CAR) – While last season was a write off due to injuries and total team collapse, he got into 6 games down the final run. He won 4 of them with a GAA around 2.

Regardless if you are brand new to fantasy football or seasoned expert, this tutorial will help you reign over your leagues and destroy your rivals!

The Expert Guide to Fantasy Football is the “best practice” guidebook, collected from many different resources over the years, on the best way to put together a potent squad that not a soul wants to experience. This fantasy football strategy guide is not just for the simple player. Within this specific publication are methodically studied concepts, grounded in sturdy mathematics and statistical analysis, designed precisely for people seeking to destroy the opposition.

Let’s be frank, even if you are only in a fantasy football league to have fun, it’s more pleasurable to WIN! This tutorial will get started with the fundamentals, for the first year player, and will advance all the way through complex team building methodology making use of statistical analysis. We reveal the very best procedures to put together a squad that maximizes consistency and captures explosive burst potential at each individual position.

Fantasy Football Roots

Fantasy Football’s beginnings are tracked back to the Oakland Raiders in the 1962 season when part-owner, Wilfred Winkenbach together with two columnists for a regional newspaper commissioned the very first 8-team league. Due to the level of work needed to compute the numbers every single week, the game never actually caught on until the internet boom in the mid-90′s. Since then, fantasy football has been maturing by leaps and bounds every single year.

The attraction is very easy to understand. The majority of people will never get an opportunity to play general manager/coach for their treasured NFL squad. You get that option, though, with fantasy football! You are the boss of making all the player personnel actions and searching for that next “breakout” legend. The mission is to put together a team that dominates all of your associates in the league in path to taking home the championship. We will go over how scoring functions in the subsequent sections, but you essentially obtain points for the real things your players do in the course of an actual NFL game such as touchdowns, yards gained, and field goals. It sounds simple but there are a large variety of league varieties, rules, and methods used to maximize results in this game. We will reveal all the expertise recommended to take over your league and have a great time executing it!

Regardless if you are a recreational or diehard football fanatic, fantasy football is a great companion to just simply monitoring the games and following your team. With a fantasy team, you now have a vested interest in basically every NFL game played, no matter if you have a player on your team or a player you’re up against. This unique rooting interest will help make the games SUBSTANTIALLY more exhilarating as very nearly every fantasy matchup comes down to the Sunday and Monday night games to decide the final champ. A lot of situations it will come down to a running back on your squad in need of 80 yards and a touchdown for your team to win, or a receiver on the other team needing to have less than 90 yards and it will keep you glued to the contest, even if the game is between two teams with awful records and a blowout score. In addition, it is a good way to remain in contact with faraway buddies or possibly make new ones. A large number of leagues are made up of old buddies that now live many of miles apart, but by using the internet they are all able to stay connected and have fun. Once you play once, you will be hooked on it for life!

For those of you who have already experienced the thrill of fantasy football, you’ll know that the game is full of ups, downs, highs and lows. You’ll find yourself doing things such as watching Blackburn vs Stoke on a Wednesday evening – a game no-one in their right mind would watch out of entertainment! – hoping for one of your fantasy players to score a goal, or keep a clean sheet. Crazy. But in the end it’s all worth it, and it certainly adds an element of excitement to football matches.

Being a successful fantasy football manager is tricky. No matter what team you settle on, there is always room for improvement, always room for change. There may come a rare week where things are going swimmingly and you’re finally happy with your team, and then BAM! Injuries hit, players get suspended, the African Nations Cup comes around, and all of a sudden that “perfect” team you had is no more. My first tip is this, understand that fantasy football is a dynamic game where things are always changing. So it’s ok to never be happy with your team, you should be constantly looking for opportunities, and more importantly be on the lookout for players that offer value.

One example of this is the recent injury crisis at Manchester Utd. As an owner of Nemanja Vidic i was devastated to hear that he will miss the entire 2011/12 season through injury. However, this also provided an opportunity. Due to Vidic’s injury, Jonny Evans is now United’s first choice center back – a player that is able to pick up points for United’s clean sheets but at a far more affordable price than Nemanja Vidic.

My second tip is do not overlook statistics, use them to your advantage. The movie ‘Moneyball’ showed us just how important statistics can be in sport. It’s fair to say that statistics in football are perhaps not as relevant and important as in some other sports, but they can still be very useful. A very basic example is the Premier League ‘number of clean sheets’ statistic. Did you know that Swansea City have kept more clean sheets this season than Manchester City? Considering that Swansea defenders on fantasy football are priced a lot cheaper than most Manchester City defenders, we can use this statistic to stock up on cheap, Swansea City defenders, and therefore free up funds to purchase other players.

My third tip is to keep an eye on player form. There are very few players who consistently produce decent scores every week. The likes of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney perhaps belong in that bracket, but they do not come cheap in fantasy football! The majority of fantasy football players go through good and bad spells. So it’s important to keep an eye out for players who are entering a hot streak. Judging whether a player is entering a hot streak can be very difficult. Indeed, sometimes this can be more down to luck than judgement. In general though, you’ll find that players enter periods of good form when they have a decent run of fixtures. So always keep an eye on upcoming fixtures and which teams have an easy/hard schedule on the horizon.

Finally, the moment i’m sure you’ve all been waiting for… The big secret that most fantasy football managers overlook. I can tell you that in my opinion, the answer to this question is this…… PATIENCE! This is in my opinion, the most important factor to being successful in fantasy football. I can’t tell you the amount of times where i’ve lost patience with a particular player and have transferred him out, only to watch him go on and score many fantasy points the next week! This happened to me earlier in the season with Stephane Sessegnon, a player with so much fantasy potential. After weeks of picking up a mere 2 points in nearly every game, i transferred Sessegnon out. The next week he scored 13 points, then 12 points the following week! Typical. But that’s just the way it goes sometimes. Fantasy football can be a cruel game indeed, but just remember to stick to your guns and be patient.

Fantasy baseball owners are no different than anyone else. Whether you are looking to buy a car, invest in a stock, pick up a CD of your favorite band or draft a player for your fantasy roster, everyone is searching for a deal. In fantasy sports, deals come in the form of players who are under-valued by your fellow fantasy owners at the draft table. These players are called fantasy baseball sleepers and can help you get the edge and possibly win your league. Most of these players have a good reason to be under-valued: they may be coming off an injury-riddled season; perhaps they have experienced a recent downturn in statistical production; maybe they have switched teams and have an undefined role with a new club. Whatever the reason, your competition at the fantasy draft may let these players slip down in their respective rankings. It’s your job to grab these fantasy sleepers at a place in the draft where they can produce better numbers than the players they will be drafted alongside.

Here is a list of fantasy baseball sleepers, one at every position, who may be expected to provide a value to your roster and who may exceed the expectations of your fellow fantasy opponents.

Catcher – Nick Hundley (SD)

Sure, he plays in a terrible hitter’s park and has struggled mightily with injuries the past 4 seasons. However, if the definition of a fantasy baseball sleeper is a player who will slip down the list to a position where he can be drafted for value, then Hundley fits the bill. Nobody knows this guy and if he stays healthy he could challenge the 20 HR plateau.

First Base – Adam Lind (TOR)

After putting up a monster season in 2009, Lind was suddenly on everyone’s radar. However, back-to-back years of mediocre overall numbers have caused many fantasy baseball owners to shy away from the Blue Jays’ DH/1B. If the Jays land a big free agent bat in the off season, Lind may have some of the pressure taken off of him and he may respond. He had an amazing first half in 2011. He could easily do it again over a full season.

Second Base – Aaron Hill (ARI)

Talk about a fall from grace. After setting franchise records for HR at second base, Hill went from hero to goat to finding himself traded to the National League West within a 2 season span. His BABIP in 2010 was.196 and.268 in 2011. You have to believe that number simply has to increase. Coupled with his invigorated approach at the plate in Arizona, Hill may just pay dividends in 2012.

Third Base – Mark Reynolds (BAL)

Everyone’s favourite whipping boy switched positions in 2011 and saw an improvement in his offensive statistics as a result. Perhaps the pressure of playing the hot corner affected his play at the plate. His slash line as a third baseman:.210/.315/.451. After the move to first base:.250/.345/.566. The Orioles expect to play him at 1B in 2012 but fear not, he will still qualify at 3B in fantasy leagues.

Short Stop – Dee Gordon (LAD)

A frightening lack of patience at the plate is the only thing holding Gordon back from stealing 80 bases. He walked a mere 7 times in 233 plate appearances in 2011. If he can find a way to add walks to his.305 batting average, he may steal his way into fantasy conversations next season. In the meantime, consider him sleeper material.

Outfield – Shin-Shoo Choo (CLE)

Injuries and a DUI led to a horrific season for Choo. A bona fide top 50 fantasy pick heading into 2011, he may have fallen off the radar for many not willing to overlook last year’s fiasco. A return to the 20/20,.300 average seasons of 2009-2010 is very likely. He shouldn’t fall too far in most drafts but he may be a deal.

Designated Hitter – Adam Dunn (CHW)

The most consistent offensive player in major league baseball fell flat on his face in a historic way last season. Players of this consistency and talent level don’t come along very often. What did we learn in 2011? That Dun is a human being, not a robot. That’s all. Expect him to regroup and return to form with 35+ HR and 100 RBI.

Many people look for a new hobby to pursue when they start having more free time in their lives. Unfortunately, most people over the age of 30 limit themselves to certain hobbies that seem appropriate for their age. Granted, there are many hobbies that are only pursued by a certain demographic, but in some case it’s okay to defy the status quo. Skateboarding has long been associated with the young and rebellious, so many adults don’t even entertain the idea of picking it up as a hobby, when it’s actually a great form of exercise and transportation among other things. Fortunately, the longboard gives the older crowd a socially acceptable way to break into skateboarding.

The difference between the image of skateboarding and longboarding generally comes from a difference in intention. While riding a longboard is essentially skateboarding on a different type of board, the physical alterations in the board are there to make travelling easier. Many people use longboards not only for fun and exercise, but also to save on gas. On the other hand, the modern day skateboard is built to withstand grinds, jumps, and tricks, but is not ideal for a 5-10 mile ride. Furthermore, longboards are built to be more stable, so there’s less of a learning curve compared to skateboards. the design of the board also allows the rider to cruise for longer periods of time and more comfortably due to softer wheels.

Due to a different intention than skateboarding, the longboard attracts people with a different attitude that is more in line with mature thinking. Wearing helmets and other safe practices are actually encouraged, not frowned upon. Since many longboarders aren’t doing anythign more than just getting across town, they tend to be more respectful because they don’t have anything to prove. There is more of a sharing vibe instead of a territorial one because there are endless miles of asphalt to ride on. Some longboarders like to go on long, fast rides with their buddies for fun, so the group aspect of skateboarding is also present. This is definitely an activity you can do with your friends and family, should you decide to pursue it.

Longboarders generally tend to get less hassle from the police and other people out in public. It helps that longboarders have the image of a more respectful crowd, but this might also be due to physical differences in the board. Skateboards have harder and shorter wheels, which tend to cause damage to property. Many shopping centers do not allow skateboards on the premises, and traffic laws usually do not permit skateboards to be on the streets at all. Doing this could risk getting your board confiscated by the police, but longboarders seem to have fewer problems with this.

Many longboarders hold some disdain for skateboarding because it is so commonly associated with teenagers who act disrespectfully and destroy public property. While this is only a stereotype, it’s an image that is sometimes hard to get away from. Using a different type of board actually allows some people to differentiate themselves from this image, not only to their friends and family, but also to cops and pedestrians. This makes it possible for adults who are afraid of being too old for skateboarding to break into a similar hobby with fewer constraints.

While we were browsing though the bookstore shelves looking for skateboarding books for kids, this suddenly passed my mind: When did such sport really start? From my readings, it started sometime in the 1950s, with boards made of old wood as the very first of its kind. Skateboarding made its way in the market when surfing was also at its peak. Hence, most skateboarders were surfers as well. And the rest is history, so they say.

But skateboarding is more than just an activity or a sport, because it boasts of numerous benefits to kids and adults alike, including the following:

1. It can be considered as an alternative exercise for kids who find exercise boring. Fact is, when you’re on board and your adrenaline is kicking up high, you won’t even realize the time spent doing the activity. Like a traditional exercise, this is a good way to fight obesity and diabetes that are now starting to hit children because of lack of physical exertion.

2. It can be a way to meet new friends and build new relationships. It is more fun if you share the sport with other kids on the block, since a lot of kids today are pretty much into it, anyway. Through this, you can even share tips and tricks on how to enhance your skills in this sport.

3. It teaches your kid the value of discipline, patience, concentration, balance, and sportsmanship. Since to master the art of skateboarding you will need to learn the basics and practice a lot, doing so in turn teaches your kid important values that are essential in succeeding against life’s challenges.

4. According to studies, it helps in balancing some conditions in children like attention disorders, instead of simply taking medications for it. As we have earlier mentioned, skateboarding teaches kids to focus or concentrate.

5. It is one of the cheapest pleasures to have, because all you need to do is buy a skateboard. Skateboard is not as expensive as one thinks. Prices depend on size and quality of the board. Besides, your kid doesn’t need to go too far to enjoy the sport. Kids can always play around your neighborhood to enjoy the activity.

But what if your kid is not a sport fanatic? Easy. Introduce the sport to them by buying fun and friendly skateboarding books. Okay, I know what you’re thinking: What if your kids are not book fanatics as well? Fact is, your kid doesn’t have to be a bookworm as well to enjoy the book. These book authors understand that kids have short attention span, so they’ve made it sure that the book is certified page-turner for the young ones.

In skateboarding, style is very important. You can learn all types of tricks but if you don’t have your own style, they won’t be as impressive. If you’re having trouble improving your style or just don’t know where to start, you’re in luck. The following tips can help you improve your skateboarding style so you can get the most from the sport.

The first step is to determine what style you want to use. If you’re not sure, watch some skating videos to learn a few different ones. Then, try them out until you find one you’re comfortable using. After choosing a style, you can begin implementing it to your own skating.

Be Comfortable Skating

Before you can improve your style, you need to feel comfortable skating. This means that you must be comfortable with your board. There are many different types of skateboards designed for different types of skaters. For example, the concave (how much the board curves in from the sides to the middle) will vary considerably in the boards.

You need to find the one that suits you the best. You also need to adjust the trucks to suit you. Some skaters like them tight and others prefer them loose. Adjust yours until you feel the most comfortable. You want to have proper control of your board.

Learn Control

Learn how to control your board. If you expect to maintain a style, you need to be able to control how your board moves even when you’re popping a high trick. If the board gets away from you, it’s going to leave you wobbling around trying to get it back under control and style will be last thing on your mind.

In order to have control, you need good balance. Good balance requires you to lean your body in different directions to prevent yourself from falling. For example, if you’re falling forward, lean backwards until you maintain balance. Bending your needs will help to absorb the shock of the board when you do tricks, which will also help you improve your balance.

Master Your Technique before Showing Off

Before performing a trick for others, learn how to do it correctly. You may still mess up occasionally but you should be able to do it right the majority of the time in order to do it with style. Now, the only thing that’s left to do is practice, practice and practice some more.

Whether you are an experienced skater or out for a joy ride, safety is a concern that should not be taken lightly while skateboarding. Shopping for protective skateboarding equipment can be a difficult experience if you are not sure what to look for. It is important to be aware of the safety information that can save your life in case of an accident.

Safety Information

Head injuries are the most dangerous injuries that can occur while skateboarding. It is very important to be sure that you are wearing a proper helmet for the activity you are partaking in. In some states it is a law to wear a helmet while skateboarding, so check state laws before beginning your ride. It is important to note that you should get a skateboarding specific helmet instead of the average bicycle helmet.

What to Look for in a Skateboarding Helmet

An important thing to look for when looking for a good skateboarding helmet is the material that is used. In a helmet there is a piece of foam that covers the inside of the helmet. You will want to make sure that this foam is Expanded PolyPropylene, otherwise known as EPP. This is a durable type of foam and will recover if you take a hit, unlike a bicycle helmet. It is also important to look and see if the helmet is the proper fit for your head and that it is adjusted properly. Many people are injured because they have not fitted their helmet properly.

Skateboard helmets need to meet a proper safety rating before they are deemed acceptable for the road. These are not necessarily required by law, but the ratings are most certainly important for your safety while riding. Look inside the helmet for a CPSC sticker or one that says ASTM. These ensure that the helmet is safe for your use while skateboarding.

Most Popular/Safest Helmets

Know what to look for is only the first half of the battle, actually finding the perfect helmet becomes the second half. There are a few brands that have become the premier skateboarding helmets and these tend to be the ones you should look for if you are in the market for a secure and safe helmet. The first brand which is probably the most popular is Pro-Tec. This brand has many helmets on the market and has a great safety rating. Pro-Tec even offers some helmets that may not need replacing after a crash, most helmets need to be replaced.

Another very popular brand is Technical Safety Gear, or TSG. This brand is similar to Pro-Tec, in the sense that is has a great safety rating and has a very cool look. You will be riding in style with this brand.

There are a few other brands that have been successful, although Pro-Tec and TSG are the two main brands in skateboarding helmets. Bern helmets and Triple 8 helmets may also be beneficial to try out before making your main decision. All of the above brands are also safe for children who may be skateboarding and they have smaller sizes so that your children can ride safely around the neighborhood.

Racquetball looks like a daunting sport to play with the ball bouncing heavily in a closed court. But with the right racquetball equipment, racquets, gloves, balls, clubs, supplies, and most of all attitude, the game becomes a fun albeit challenging experience. Too costly? Not really, because with the popularity and following the game has, sporting goods manufacturers produced a variety of equipment that could fit any budget.

The basic racquetball equipment set you need to start playing includes a ball and a racquet. Accessories like the gloves, grips, protective goggles, and other supplies are for safety and improvement of playing skills. Though these accessories can’t guarantee that you’ll win your first game, at least they’ll keep possible bruises, muscle pains, and losing points difference to a minimum.

The first equipment you must pay attention to is your racquet. As a general rule, the more expensive the racquet, the better it is. But for starters, a medium-priced racquet will do just fine. Aluminum-framed racquets are cheap but you’ll have to exert extra effort for more power. They also cause too much vibration making them harder to hold steady. Advanced players prefer the more expensive titanium or graphite frames because of the power these racquets give. These are basically light racquets for ease of maneuvers on the court. Balls and clubs are usually standardized, hence, whatever you buy is just fine. The differences between high-priced balls and clubs from lower-priced ones are so subtle that they are rendered insignificant.

Gloves are just like racquets. This is where price difference again come into play. Better quality gloves are generally more expensive. But before settling for cheaper gloves, consider this: The gloves, aside from helping you to hold and steady your racquet, also protects your hand from blistering. They also prevent possible wrist injuries. The blisters that cheap gloves might give you can dampen your interest in the sport even before you have fully-experienced it. Another body safety item is the goggles. These protect your eyes from possibly getting hit by the ball because of too slow reflexes. With these on, you needn’t to worry about coming out of the court with bleeding eyes.

Lastly, before buying any racquetball equipment, racquets, gloves, balls, clubs, supplies, and other racquetball gears, it is important to do simple tests. Check the comfort of the goggles and the gloves. Grip the racquet and give it a few swings. It’s no use buying top quality equipment if you’re not comfortable using them. Aside from the right gear, confidence and attitude will serve you in your game.
